O N E .

Oh I've been dragging on writing this post...it's still so surreal to me!
[get ready for one very LONG post!]
My little baby boy is O N E today.
How the heck did this happen!?
I still feel like it was yesterday that I found out I was pregnant,
took about 15 pregnancy tests [I know I know!],
told Kalob,
"roasting" for 39 weeks,
at 2am 4.23.2011 having my water break.
and then the birth story...
So much has changed!

Hudson James,
Through the past 12 months, Hudson, you are still my favorite, biggest, cutest, most adorable, strongest, tallest, rolly-polly, loveable, best sleeper, mama's boy, brightest, chunky-est, most entertaining little man.
You have changed our lives in more ways than I can even imagine someone so little could. Thank you for making me a mommy. Thank you for challenging me everyday. Thank you for making me smile every second. Thank you for loving me like I know you do. I love the way you say "mmmoooom", reach your arms up for me, nussle your face into my neck when you get shy, call out and come to me when you get hurt, scared, or sad. I love that you still let me give you thousands of kisses a day. How wonderful is that feeling.

No one has ever or will ever love me like you do and I, "buggy", will never love anything the way I love you. Thank you for reminding me to take things a little slower, to cherish every minute, to love more, laugh more and learn more. I can't wait to see what tomorrow, this next year, and what your future brings. thank you for every giggle, snuggle, and smile. I will love you forever and always.

Love, mmmm-o-m.

Hudson,
From the time you were born you have changed my life. I still can’t believe that it’s been a year since you have entered this world.
[first time holding little man]
From the very first time you opened your eyes to the first time you said ‘da-deee” you have blessed my life. I love coming home every day & how excited you get, the way you wait for me at the window, the way you high-five, play peek-a-boo, and the way we play chase around the house right before bath time. You make going to work harder and harder every day but always remember that everything I do is to make your life better.  . Today, on your 1st birthday, I look back at what an amazing year you have had. You’ve learned so many things. You’ve been sad. You’ve been mad. You’ve kept us up at night, but most of all you’ve been so extremely happy.  I hope your whole life will be filled with more fun than one boy can handle.  Your possibilities are endless, your journey is one designed for you, and I look forward to being there with you every single step of the way. I love you Hudson James. So proud to be our Dad.
Love, da-dee

[Don't worry, I just cried through the writing of this whole entire blog post.] I've been a disaster all day long! I can not get over how this little boy has meant so much to so many people and has brought so much happiness to our little family. His "fit" in our world has been pretty perfect.
Oh and don't you even fret, we still have 5 more days of  birthday week....hope you all aren't tuckered out quite yet...I'm just getting started! :)
