'twas the night'...

'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse;
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,

[adorable right?!?!]
In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there;

The children were nestled all snug in their beds,

While visions of sugar-plums danced in their heads;

And mamma in her 'kerchief, and I in my cap,

Had just settled down for a long winter's nap,

When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a miniature sleigh, and eight tiny reindeer,

[our christmas eve ride!]

With a little old driver, so lively and quick,
I knew in a moment it must be St. Nick.

More rapid than eagles his coursers they came,
And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name;
"Now, Dasher! now, Dancer! now, Prancer and Vixen!
On, Comet! on Cupid! on, Donder and Blitzen!

blah blah blah...
yadda-yadda-yadda.
With the sleigh full of toys, and St. Nicholas too.
A bundle of toys he had flung on his back,

[not a hundred percent sure how we are going to get everything
this little guy got for christmas home.
oh the joy of traveling and nana and papa's house!]

[It was freezing but we went to the botanical gardens for family home evening! Seriously,absolutley gorgeous lights, yummy apple cider and the best family in the world to spend our time with!]
