a little something private.

Well, we have gone private. Yep, that's right...our blog has officially switched a setting... private. Due to some thought about welcoming a baby soon, we decided that we will have to start thinking a little deeper into our normal "communication ways", and we've decided to take some actions to protect our family just that much more! I don't know that it's necessary for complete strangers to our family to be able to type in our name to google, and our blog pops up- kinda scary! Some may think its a little much, but all we would say about that is...
too bad for you!
On to other important news...I have picked ot our nursery theme, gotten some decor, and have once again, been pretty amazingly domestic, if i don't say so myself!

I was messing around on etsy.com a few weeks ago and came across a wonderful vendor and some amazing wall paper art. I contacted her and asked her to customize some "lullabyes". My mom used to sing "You are my sunshine" and "twinkle twinkle little star" to us when we were little, and I plan on doing the same.

These are the prints! I'm beyond thrilled!

I also got extremely bored with the glider-rocker covers I sewed last month...so out with the old and in with the new! I've decided that black and white is going to be the nursery theme, which means...black and white rocker covers! I painted the glider black, and re-re covered the cushions! This fabric will also be around the bottom of the crib skirt!

TA - DA!

Things are certainly coming together, doctors visits are every 2 weeks, coming home outfit for my little guy is picked out, one baby shower done and done, diapers and wipes are bought (we will make it quite a ways, I'm pretty sure it will be an on-going purchase!), and we are 32 weeks!

  2. Love your blog! Thanks for the invite :) I love what you did with the glider... you are going to have to teach me how to do that one day!

Watching the two of you interact with the kiddos in nursery, your baby is super lucky to have such amazing parents :)
