still amazing...

Before this blog went public 9 months ago, I blogged about pregnancy, our [unexpected] move to Colorado, and sometimes our wedding...but I never blogged about our reception guest book.

I'm sure the time is catching up to this idea now, but I'm sharing it anyway,
because it was amazing...actually, it's still amazing.

[plus 11 other pages....figured I would spare you. your welcome.]

-We used most of our engagement pictures, and photos from when
we were dating throughout the book.
- Shutterfly was the site we used & it was an absolute hit.
-I still look through it from time to time.
- We loved the thought of having a book full of pictures, notes from friends and family AND words of encouragement all in one place.
- We had two receptions...one in Boise, one in Wyoming. I actually had to add pages after the first reception so that we would have room for the next.

I'm still loving this idea, and although I would love to get married [to my husband] over and over and over again so that I could use pinterest as another guide...this is certainly one thing I would never change!

What did you choose to do for your guest book?!
Any different ideas?!

  3. That's a cool idea! I cut out pieces of scrap-booking paper for mine and everyone wrote their note on their own little sheet. Now I am in the process of making all the sheets and our wedding photos into one big scrapbook so we can look through both at the same time!

I found you through the GFC blog hop and I am following now! Love for you to give my blog a visit too.

    peace&love, Jill

  4. That is suuch a great idea! I have one of those boring book ones and NEVER look at it. And I totally agree about a Pinterest wedding, I am planning a 10 year vow renewal and have been pinning stuff like crazy! Love the blog, by the way:)

  6. I love your guestbook!!!! It's beautiful. Aww!

We got married in 2009. Our wedding song was "We Belong Together" by Richie Valens. I had ordered an old 45 record of the song on E-Bay and had it mounted on posterboard with a space next to it for one of our engagement photos in an 8x10 size. Everyone signed the board and after the wedding, we had it framed. The sad thing is, I never hung it. It was such a great idea at the time but it's big and heavy and we don't have much wall space. I like looking at it in our closet but I'd rather have had a book to flip through!

  9. Hi, newest follower, following you back from my blog.
My husband and I got married almost 8 years ago. Needless to say, before Shutterfly and before Pinterest...how did we survive back then?!?
I actually did the same kind of thing for ours, but we had to develope pictures and glue them on. After everyone had signed I laminated the pages.
Ha ha a lot more work!
    Have a great week!
