I remember the first time Kalob and I met, our first date, the first time he held my hand, kissed me, the first time we fought, the night that he [finally] said 'i love you', the proposal and believe it or not two years ago to the day, I became a wife to one of the most amazing men that God has ever created [I promise]. I don't know how I got so lucky to live the life that I do, but I thank my stars every single morning and night that I said yes. It's hard to believe that he picked me. He waited for me. He loved me. He chose me.
Oh, Kalob and I are complete opposites. People are still shocked that I dated and married a cow loving, ranch working, boy from a little town in Wyoming....sometimes I can't believe it myself, but as opposite as we are...the saying it so true that we attract, and somehow amongst the "opposite" part of things...we work oh so well.
Marriage is hard. There is no doubt, no sugar-coating, no denying that. Merging two completely separate, individual, very independent lives together is a tough thing to do. There are large sacrifices to be made, every single day. There are lessons to be learned. There are things you wish you would have known or somebody would have told you...but the funny thing is, there isn't a manual on how to live your life...you just simply make it work for you...and nobody else.
To be honest, I don’t believe in soul mates, I never really have. I think people can make it work, if they try hard enough, if they keep fighting toward each other, make compromises, and remember why they wanted to be with the person in the first place. Though I don’t believe in soul mates, Kalob is the one and only person, who I want to take this little adventure with and lets be honest, the one and probably only person who can put up with my many "oh my hell" phrases, insomnia, picture taking, music loving, hairspray addiction, sweat wearing [all.the.time], blogging, funny, moments.
Kalob and I have had a roller coaster marriage so far full of a new job, new state, new friends, & new addition to the family [that part is my favorite!], but that roller coaster is and will always be the most enjoyable [and at the same time, scariest] dang roller coaster I've ever taken a ride on!
[awesome picture overload beginning...now.]
[what a difference two years makes!]
I never thought it would be possible to love someone more and more every day, but I'm certainly proving myself wrong...every.single.day! I someone would have told me 4 years ago that I within months I would meet the man that I would eventually marry, I would have told them they were wrong, so wrong. funny how some things work out...considering I'm now married with a one year old baby! Goodness. Have I mentioned that I sure do love the boys in my life!?
Our lives may be a little cRaZy to some, but we don't live with regrets, we are so incredibly blessed and thankful to live the life that we do, and most importantly...we wouldn't change one single day of the past t w o y e a r s .
