maple salmon recipe.

I've been in the mood for trying some new recipes the past few days, and actually usually the things we have in our house. So I went through the freezer, determined not to go to store again, and found some salmon. I know, I don't know how I didn't know it was in there, but I wanted to use it and use it well. I'm pretty sure I rocked this recipe...and I'm not a huge fish fan...but it was absolutely amazing. I posted a picture on instagram and got a few requests for a recipe...so here you go! You will not be disappointed.

Maple Salmon
recipe adapted from allrecipes.com

Ingredients:
- 1 pound salmon
-1/4 cup maple syrup
-2 tablespoons soy sauce
-1 clove garlic, minced
-1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper

Directions:
  1. In a small bowl, mix the maple syrup, soy sauce, garlic, and pepper.
  2. Place salmon in a shallow glass baking dish, and coat with the maple syrup mixture. Cover the dish, and marinate salmon in the refrigerator 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  4. Place the dish in the oven and bake salmon uncovered 20 minutes, or until easily flaked with a fork.
We topped ours off with boiled carrots and brown rice.

  1. So how did you cook your carrots? I have a bag to get rid of but all the recipes I've tried just don't turn out that great.
